Terms and Conditions:
As they relate to the CTE master’s programs and partners thereof
University Policies:
I understand that once enrolled, I am a student of the college and will be subject to any and all rules and policies established by the college. I also agree to hold the Center For Teaching Excellence (CTE) and the college/university harmless for any failure on my part to meet the terms and conditions of this agreement.
Release of Information. I authorize the university/college to release records and information relating to course performance, tuition, fees, financing, including financial aid status to the Center For Teaching Excellence.
Financial Aid:
I am aware that financial aid is available through the university and may not cover all of my tuition and fees. In the event that I apply for financial aid, I am aware that all awards must be granted and approved at least two weeks prior to the start of my program. If financial aid is not attained at least two weeks prior to the start of the program, I understand that I will not be able to begin my program and will need to start a later program once the financial aid has been approved. Clark County School District licensed employees may have the option to use payroll deduction method for the tuition balance in the event that financial aid is not granted in the allotted time frame.
Books and/or Fees:
I understand that I am responsible for any and all program fees associated with my master’s degree. I am aware that the tuition price agreed upon at time of application is for tuition only and that text books and other customary fees which the university will impose will not be included in the tuition price. I am aware that official transcripts will not be released until any and all program fees, tuition cost and any other program related cost is satisfied.
Payment Options for Balance Less Down payment:
Each master’s program has been given a negotiated price for tuition. In order to secure the seat and lock in the negotiated price for tuition, the student agrees to secure the seat with a down payment. This down payment is then deducted from the total cost of the tuition and the remaining balance will be paid in a method denoted by the sponsoring university/college which is outlined on the program page. Universities within the CTE partnership will vary with respect to acceptable payment methods of said tuition balance. Students will find acceptable methods of payment for tuition balance (less CTE down payment) on each individual program page. Students will first secure a spot in said program, for the negotiated price, by first submitting a one-time down payment that will be deducted from the total price of tuition cost. Clark County School District employees may choose from a payroll deduction method of payment for tuition balance. Clark County School District licensed employees who choose a method other than payroll deduction and that method is disrupted for any reason, payroll deductions will automatically begin in order to secure the outstanding balance. Programs which allow credit card payments will incur a fee due to insufficient funds or interrupted payment of $35 per instance.
Ron Clark Participants will not have a down payment option. Sierra NV will have a unique arrangement specifically for Ron Clark Participants. See: Payment Options for Ron Clark.
Down payment:
I am aware that the program cost includes a one-time down payment in order to secure my seat in the chosen master’s program. This one-time down payment will be deducted from the overall tuition cost of said program and will not be refundable after the first day of the program start date. The CTE down payment is due at the time of enrollment. Failure to submit the CTE down payment in a timely manner will result in a drop from the program; any and all negotiated prices for that registration period will be negated. CTE will accept a one-time credit card payment for said down payment. Insufficient funds or interrupted payment will result in a $35 transaction fee per instance.
Ron Clark Participants will not have a down payment option. Sierra NV will have a unique arrangement specifically for Ron Clark Participants. See: Payment Options for Ron Clark.
Withdrawal. I understand that should I choose to withdraw from my master’s program, I am obligated to notify CTE via email @ www.ctenow: contact us and the sponsoring university. I agree that it is my responsibility to adhere to all university rules and regulations as it pertains to proper withdrawal procedures. I also am aware that after the first start day of the program, the down payment will not be refunded.
Repeating Coursework:
In the event that I do not successfully complete a course or course(s) as outlined in the university/college policies and procedures, it is my responsibility to repeat the course(s) at my own expense and the CTE tuition rate will not apply. The university may impose the standard rate of tuition for any such repeat of coursework and I will not hold CTE or the university responsible for any such CTE negotiated tuition outside the initial agreement for program tuition.
Cohort Master’s Programs:
I am aware that if my program is considered a “cohort” and I fail to remain in said cohort, that any and all courses not completed in the “cohort” order will need to be taken at a later date which will be determined by the university. By failing to remain with said cohort, I forfeit the expectancy to finish in the original timeframe. I agree that any courses which need to be made up outside of the “cohort” frame will be subject to non-CTE pricing. I will not hold CTE or the university accountable for any additional costs once the breach occurs.
Licensing:
I agree and understand that I will be completely responsible for all licensing and certification matters as it pertains to my individual district, state, and/or other such commission which grants approval for master’s degrees as it pertains to licensure, certification and movement on the salary schedule. I agree that I have verified and confirmed that the program I have selected will be acceptable and approved for salary increase, licensure and/or certification as it applies to my specific school district, state, local or any other governing board. I agree to hold CTE and the university/college entirely harmless for any and all licensing, certification and salary movement matters.
